Take a deep breath in.
Then out.
Close your eyes.
Imagine.
.
When your worries fell away.
When you were panicking about an exam.
But, you still got an ‘A’.
.
Think of your happiest childhood memories.
The one time you walked in the pouring rain.
Not caring about being drenched.
When you got your first pet.
The one you’ve been begging for forever.
When you played at the beach.
Enjoying the warmth of the sun.
The cool wind and the crashing of waves.
.
Think about what you’ll do once you get out.
How you’re going to step outside and stare.
See the beauty of the world around you once again.
How the environment has flourished.
How the animals returned.
Imagine the tweeting of the birds flyinging in a flock.
The small rabbits hopping around.
.
You’ll be okay.
It will all turn out alright.
Look to tomorrow.
The sun rises like normal and in turn,
we must do the same.
And move forward.

The positive energy of your poem made it really enjoyable to read. I love the thought you put into the descriptive details of each line, they painted a great picture. Your positive outlook on quarantine makes me look forward to everything that is to come and I hope my first day out after is as beautiful as you’ve described it.

This poem got me really excited for the quarantine to be over so I can finally go out and experience the things you told us to remember and reminisce about. The short, simpler sentences kept my attention and helped me have hope that the isolation will be over as quickly as the sentences. Good Job!

Reading your poem genuinely relaxed me and I felt like I was meditating. The simple sentences kept me engaged throughout. It is rather difficult to think positively, wherein you open up any sort of news outlet and nothing seems to be good, so I appreciated this post very much. This has a very optimistic and positive vibe and leaves me excited for the future. Thank you for this post and well done!
